The dictionary defines adultery as: voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not his or her spouse. Yet, it is so much more. There's no mention about feelings of betrayal and mistrust.
Adultery affects more than the three people involved (the married couple & the other person). Children are drawn in. Family members get involved. The drama level goes to a level 10.
